recently a lot of ppl have been asking me about my trip to hong kong and korea. so i think ill just post it here if they wanna know. =] (smart hey)
Hong Kong:
Accommodation; BP International Hotel (4 Star - extremely good) loved the bathroom with the big mirror
Food; unbelievably cheap, just dont go to the ones where you eat on the street or kfc, maccas.. ohk maybe but i wouldnt
Money; so cheap it blew my mind, especially the markets that open at night, so much to choose for only a bit of money, and if youre good, try bargaining
Communication; better than expected, most spoke english and most of the ones that did were good at it
Korea:
Accommodation; Amiga Motel (3.5 Star - no good at all) i swear.. do not go to motels, dont be stingy, get a hotel that is at least 4 star
Food; good and cheap, as long as you know where to go, something ironically weird, i went to korea and ate chinese food XD
Money; yes 1 AUD can get you roughly 1000 won (south korean currency), but its pretty much the same as buying stuff in australia, eg. you go to buy a coke in aus for 2.50 AUD, in korea itll be 2500 won, no difference
Communication; very few koreans speak english, and the majority of them only know a few words, i walked in to a restaurant, ate, then asked for the 'toilets', yes the "TOILETS" no one in the restaurant knew what it was =3=
ps dont be fascinated by the little bins next to the toilets, theyre for used toilet paper, yes, no joke 'toilet paper' they say you can clog the toilet by chucking toilet paper in there and flush
and be careful not to touch the wrong lever, you might think its to flush the toilet but it you might end up watching a small pipe stick out and spray you (yes the butt washer) it was embarrassing walking out with a wet shirt on all three thick layers of clothing
and beware the red crosses, i reckon its some kind of secret society
